The Miraphone 1292 New Yorker Series 5 Valve 5/4 CC Tuba is similar in design to the 1291, with the addition of a nickel silver bell garland to increase the dynamic potential of the instrument. The 1292 features a .772-inch to .835-inch conical bore with a slightly smaller leadpipe with a larger European mouthpiece receiver to offer the performer even more control over the instrument. The 1292 is perfect for the player needing additional power. The Miraphone 1292 New Yorker Series 5 Valve 5/4 CC Tuba is available in silver (1292-5VCS) finish. Case NOT included.
The 1292 New Yorker follows the design features of the popular 1291 Series with vented piston valves to allow for smoother slurs without the pop sound as with unvented valves. This feature is critical for the player that needs a smooth sound during lyric passages.
