2011 Cardioid Stereo Pair
This complete stereo pair contains two handpicked 2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphones, selected on sensitivity within ±1.5 dB. These mics make several stereo principles like XY and ORTF easy to obtain. The pair contains mics, windscreens and clips all packaged in a Peli™ Case.The 2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone
Inside the 2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone, two opposite-facing miniature capsules are custom rebuilt. They are placed into a double-diaphragm, one-capsule composition. This combines the advantages of small capsules with the lower inherent noise achieved from a larger diaphragm area. These capsules provide fast impulse response and large frequency bandwidth.
Inside the MMC2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Capsule, two opposite-facing miniature capsules are custom rebuilt. They are placed into a double-diaphragm, one-capsule composition. This combines the advantages of small capsules with the lower inherent noise achieved from a larger diaphragm area. These capsules provide fast impulse response and large frequency bandwidth.
The capsules are loaded to the supreme recording microphone series preamplifiers instead of the tiny miniature FET ones. This gives the sound more air and precision.
