Booster pedal with 2-band EQ
Analog Booster pedal with True Bypass, Gain, Volume, Bass, and Treble. The EQ Boost frame is made of durable metal. The pedal has plenty of dynamics and a powerful 2-band EQ.
The Booster is a sturdy mini-pedal that you can use to achieve a high signal boost.
Boost pedals can be used to increase the volume of the overall sound without timbre coloration, or as an additional gain stage before pedals or preamps that may benefit from sending a "hotter" signal than guitar mics would normally produce.
The fundamental difference between analog and digital circuits is understood just as we can sometimes see pixels in digital images. From a distance, the digital reconstruction of an analog wave signal may seem smooth, but if you look closely, the signal has small discrete steps as the signal tries to approximate the values. Analog waves are smooth and continuous, digital waves are step, square, and discrete.
Although the LEF-318 does not color the sound itself, the included Low and High EQ can be used to compensate for tonal changes that may occur due to a higher signal level, e.g. overdrive becomes more bass-heavy, while a hotter signal causes increased distortion.
The pedal is mostly clean at most settings, but setting the gain knob to the extreme results in an American Tweed-esque sound.
